Fragrant, flavorful and filled with the aromatics of Indian cuisine, Beef Kofta with Saag Aloo is elevated comfort food at its finest.
Beef Kofta is a popular Indian dish and although it sounds fancy, I can easily create this at home. I prepare this recipe with something I always have in my freezer, ground beef. It also includes rich spices like Tandoori Masala or Madras Curry.
I like to serve Beef Kofta with the warm and comforting dish called Saag Aloo, a traditional potato recipe laced with fragrant spices. Pair these two distinctive recipes into one bowl and it becomes a meal that delights the senses.
When my family is requesting meatballs and sauce for dinner, sometimes I change it up a bit and serve this dish. It’s definitely a meatballs with sauce recipe, just not Italian meatballs and red sauce. It makes a lovely variation for my dinner menu and it’s light enough to serve in spring but hearty enough for the cooler months.
During this unusual time, I thought you could use another fairly easy recipe that includes staples like ground beef and potatoes. For me, this dish feels festive and I find it easy enough to whip up, especially on a weekend. I realize the ingredient list looks long, but it’s truly an easy recipe to prepare.
If you make this recipe I’d love to hear your thoughts. As always, leave me a comment or message if you have any questions regarding the recipes on this website or just a general cooking question. I’m always happy to help.
Sending you light, love and peace!
